  • James Peebles (USA/CAN) “pour ses découvertes théoriques en physique cosmologique” (“for theoretical discoveries in physical cosmology”)
  • Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz (SUI) “pour leur découverte de la première exo-planète gravitant autour d’une étoile comparable au Soleil” (“for the discovery of an exoplanet orbiting a solar-type star”)
