Both the European Union and Japan are experiencing demographic change, with an increasing number of senior citizens. Day 2 is given over to looking at research, development and innovation on the topic, with leading EU and Japanese scientists and experts presenting cutting edge projects in health research and Information Society Technologies, as well as key policy initiatives for Active and Healthy Ageing.
